Mavic wheels and 8 spd cassettes

I've just acquired a set of Mavic CXP 22 road wheels and will be putting on an 8 spd cassette (SRAM PG850). The rear hub is SRAM/shimano compliant so does anyone know if I will need a spacer on the rear hub?

you will need the mavic spacer.
