Hi all

I have just got a medium cage rear mech to replace a long cage one for my 1 x 9 set up. I was just wondering if I'd need to reduce the chain length to account for the change in cage length?

Cheers

    cage length is irrelevant.

when sizing the chain the mech has nothing to do with it.

Read up on parktools (link in Nicks sig) then you can confirm your chain is the right length, rather than leaving it the wrong length (if it's not right!)
