    No, it's not the padding or the mileage .. it's friction and the seams. That ride actually pulled the shorts apart slightly.

    Back on the trainer for 50 minutes tonight .. no further damage. Thought rode different shorts and I've binned the offending bibs.
    All the above is just advice .. you can do whatever the f*ck you wana do!

    Did you go for the Mille? As that pad is quite thick I personally prefer the Uno or F series

    One thing - I found that after I lost some weight, my old shorts chafed a lot because they were looser. Maybe you need some tight shorts?
