That is brilliant! Well done that man, I'm going to do the same.

Or you could just edit your hosts file.
    127.0.0.1 dailymail.co.uk
    127.0.0.1 mailonline.co.uk

    Then run
    ipconfig /flushdns

You could do, but a router change is house-wide, everybody gets 'protected'.

Blimey - two great newspapers close in the space of a year or so, first the NoTW and soon the Daily Fail. Stirring stuff.

I expect the PCC will have already binned the complaint on the grounds that the chairman owns the Fail, or some such.

The article probabaly never mentioned the fact that on each occasion, Petronellas Mum was tryiong desperately to escape the banal torturing grasp of her oppressive daughter. If the 'Mum' in question would like a rescue party, then she may think of cyclists in a completely different light.

The 'Rescue Petronellas Mum' campaign starts 'ere.

I may have missed a few letters and added some but hey see what you can do with it
I used to just ride my bike to work but now I find myself going out looking for bigger and bigger hills.

The exact same incident happened to her mother in 2010 so either she is really unfortunate or DM regurgitated bile at a well timed point.

    Well with ToB recently starting
Incidentally, she used to be a paramour of well-known cycling fan and politician impersonator, Boris Johnson.

I'm lazy, I just use KittenBlock so if I ever do inadvertently click on a Mail or Express link I get a lovely calming picture of a cup of tea and a kitten.

Daily Mail columnist and readers in stupid hateful c*nts shocker. I personally liked the level of attention to detail that allowed a photo of a 'lycra lout' wearing jeans and a ski jacket.

She might want to tell her Mum not to walk in from of moving vehicles.

Reading the article, both times she was hit in the road. It might be a fully licensed car driver she walks in front of, see if she just suffers a broken arm then.

Maybe, according to her logic, pedestrians should take a test and abide by the Highway code too.

actually, just re-read that. Of course pedestrians should abide by the Highway code, I'm pretty sure they are included in it.

Sounds like she's one of those people who when something happens to them (such as getting run over when crossing the road) it's always somebody else's fault and never their own (for not looking).

I was out on my bike earlier and a bloke stepped out into the road without looking once. I cycled past him about 1 cm from his back and he never noticed I was there.

Maybe with the laws of Dawinism, if they get run over crossing the road, they'll learn to look next time. Road + not looking = pain

Interestingly when I looked at that DM article it had a link at the bottom of the page about the cyclist who unfortunately got shot in the alps. The DM are now making out he lead a double life and it was no accident ? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2204165/French-Alps-massacre-Could-Sylvain-Mollier-main-target.html?ICO=most_read_module

  • Well it is the Daily Mail (the Daily Liar as it's know!), so it's bound to be full of holes as well as irrational.

I have always thought that cyclists should have 'cyclists respect days' - so rather than cyclists taking to the streets on mass and causing 'chaos to the drivers' (as some car drivers think) - commuter cyclists should drive to work in their cars and cause real chaos.

Maybe if car drivers could actually see the benefit of the reduced traffic on the road because of cyclists there maybe more respect on the roads, but I'm sure the Daily Liar would come up with a suggestion that it would be beneficial if cyclists should work from home on these days.

Obviously what London needs on the roads are more 4x4's for commuting to work rather than a Lycra clad cyclist

I guess the Lycra brigade get it in the neck in the city for the simple reason that most car drivers see them being able to travel much faster across the city than they can in their turbo charged 4x4's.
