First time buyer

I've been out the MTB scene for a couple of years now and everything seems to have changed. I was riding a Scott Peak and Norco bikes seemed to be all the range. I picked up the latest MBUK and I was shocked to find Norco didn't appeared once. All this aside, I am looking to buy an entry level hardtail below £400. I originally set my sights on the Norco Storm 6.1, but as above I'm now uncertain? Any help please
