Tommeke coming into some pretty decent form before the Worlds, eh?

    Leuk zeg.

Worlds route midly suits Boonen over Phil Gil.

Expect Phil to head off up the final climb and Boonen to go for the sprint if he comes back.

That's an impressively ineffective Rabo lead-out. What was Brown doing there? Did he even do 10 meters at the front?

Boonen in good shape, and talking a lot about it all just being preparation for the Worlds. I wonder he wouldn't better take these wins on their own merit. They've all been flat sprinters' races. The last time the worlds used exactly the same finish loop in 1998 it was more the Amstel Gold/LBL specialists that dominated. I'm not sure there will be a big bunch with riders like Boonen in it still together in the last lap. In 1998 the field was completely smashed to pieces.
