New Bike - Avid Elixir 3 out of line

Hi.
Just bought a Rockrider 8.1 from Decathlon. Very pleased with it. One niggle though is the front brake. When the brake is applied I can see that it's out of alignment and putting the brake on physically moves the rotor sideways slightly. On inspection when the wheel is spun I can hear a slight rubbing and can see that one pad is in contact.
Can I adjust for this? I'm very happy with the bike and don't want to return it if I can adjust.
I'm new to disc brakes so any advice appreciated.

Loosen off the bolts holding the calliper to the fork, not a lot, just enough that you can wiggle the calliper a bit. Then apply the front brake. This should cause the calliper to move so it's central and allign it to the rotor instead of it pushing the rotor sideways slightly. With the brake held down tighten up the bolts again.0

Tighten the bolts a little at a time in turn, otherwise it's easy to twist the calliper out of line as you do it.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
