Tiagra compatibility

Hello , I run tiagra 9 speed on my winter bike and need new brakes , does anyone know if the new tiagra brakes work with the 4500 9 speed shifters ??

The shimano website reckons they are not compatible but normally they work instead of spending a fortune .
I may be slow going up but i will pass you going down !

    They will be just fine... Shimano want to sell you a whole new group set, that's why they always invent alleged compatibility issues
