For years my various Delta pedals and shoes have squeaked. I thought new shoes and Keo pedals might fix it. Alas, by the 3rd ride it's back to squeaking!!*** WHY?!

It's the cleats, they're rubbish. I ditched Looks years ago for Time - cleats last 5-6x as long.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..

So your cleats last 3-4 years? Wow, might change to Time as well.
    More problems but still living....
  • I currently have a two pairs of Shimano Look patent pedal on two older bikes. I really like them, they use delta cleats and seem fine to me.

Look pedals and cleats are not rubbish, Delta or Keo, I certainly wouldn't use inferior Time products so to dismiss Look is nonsense.

All you need to do it put a little oil on the cleats, which should silence them.
