Out of interest, what other sports or activities does everyone do during the week apart from cycling.

I cycle to get and stay fit, but I also do traditional Ju Jitsu, brazilian Jiu jitsu, kick boxing and recently kobudo. (I like to kill dead things).

  • Well i like trains both model and real and if im lucky enough to have the extra spare time i like to practice photography and guitar.
  • Running and swimming + an active-ish job
  • I'm down to cycling and the gym ATM. I'm thinking of re-starting squash or rowing as I no longer play any sport competitively.

Used to play American Football & miss that a lot, but I'm too old & battered to play any more.
  • Kickboxing for me too.

    Running and swimming
  • Gym 5 x per week - Golf - Football - Car - cycling (relatively new thing for me as a fitness thing, can't stand cardio in the gym but love cycling so here we are) that's about it really
One plays football, tennis or golf, one does not play at cycling
  • errr does sex count? If so nothing, just cycling.

I'm kinda a semi-pro photographer, and a pianist ;) However cycling is my passion :D

    MTB - On-One Inbred

I have no idea what's going on here.
  • X-country running for me, in the winter months and I enter open races when I can. I've no competitive inclinations with my cycling but I really do love a good hard run through mud and some woods.
  • Photography, urban exploring and climbing high structures :D

Swimming and body-pump classes at gym a few times a week, spin classes in winter, very occasional game of golf. They all used to be more regular pursuits but cycling has overtaken everything in the last couple of years. I am a complete cycling bore, riding, watching, fettling, fixing or planning my next purchase - you name it I will talk at great length about it :D

  • Running (when I'm not injured like I am now!), and street photography :D
  • Table Tennis, Golf and Clay Shooting but I cycle every day so guess which one I prefer

I used to swim and do light gym but i found that it all interfered with the cycling, i look after my two boys(18mths/3.5yrs) which is more than enough.
If you cycle you cycle and thats the way to go.

My physique is suited to endurance events. I.e, I've a skinny long distance runners body.

I've done everything from 10k running, to squash, to scuba diving, to hill walking and rock climbing, to rugby (in the backs). Downhill skiing is fun and I've had one or two enjoyable tasters of kayaking down a river.

Gym wise, I'm a cardio person and find it easier.

Bizarrely for someone getting the road cycling bug, I have only done mountain biking just once or twice in my life. Maybe I put this down to being influenced by fit athletes like Lance Armstrong or Miguel Indurain. I can't name one mountain biker.

  • Quite a few photographers on here. I've pretty much ditched my digital stuff and gone back to black and white film and making my own prints.
I am also a solo musician and have a show coming up in November with an imminent CD release.
Sportwise just cycling like it;s always been.

Used to do a lot of rifle shooting a couple of years ago but haven't done it all since. Me and the old man are looking to take it up again soon. Used to shoot ".303 and 7.62. What do you shoot?
  • Married 25 years so if sex counts, then I do nothing.

Walk 20 miles a week , I refuse to use the underground.

I also train and manage an u14 football team, and play the last hour when we have a training game, we train for 2 hours.
  • Use to do a little bit of photography, nothing else really other than looking after kids. Sold photography kit to fund bike and other bits and bobs :(
  • I'm a full time rower. So cycling is like part of my job!

I mainly cycle to commute and get my blood moving. I'm a bus driver which is essentially a sedentary job. Other than that I don't really do any sport apart from 18 holes at least once a month if I can.

I played ice and roller hockey as a kid and tried again a few years ago in my mid 20's. Problem is I get very committed on the rink and injuries are too frequent. Within the space of about 6 months I took four serious injuries and decided that enough was enough.

Shoot clays a lot, mostly when I'm at uni for their club.

As for rifles, I have dabbled in centrefire, but need a bit more land to get any real use from them! So mostly stick to .22 and airguns for rabbiting

Play Football, to an ever decreasing standard these days, as even at the age of 28 the legs just don't recover from it anymore like they once used to.

Also have played Tennis, Squash, Snooker and Darts competively in the past all to a reasonable standard, as well as being obsessed with running before finding cycling.

Cycling seems to be dominating everything though this summer, although with the winter coming around not sure how that will change.

Poker .. good for teaching you patience, strategy, tactics, bluff, accepting that sh*t happens despite doing everything right, how to see the big picture, and how to weight up your options to always make the best decision. Life and sports are just games of poker.
All the above is just advice .. you can do whatever the f*ck you wana do!
