Morning

Not been on in a while due to a holiday and it blocking the site - because it's sports related!

Today is lots of corporate people at work, so should be busy. Obviously followed by the pub. This weekend is carfest, which I have managed to blag some free tickets for as I'm driving up the hill climb :)

    Morning bumders

Off to Llandegla for the day with a mate. It will involve lots of lycra and acting like knobs. Just about to go give dad his birthday bike, hopefully he'll like it, will update the build thread later. Took it out for a quick test yesterday and it works. It'll certainly do the job I envisaged for it.

Went out after work last night, and drank a few too many. Feeling pretty rubbish this morning, but just had some toast and feel a little more alive. Might put some more on...
Anywho, discovered last night (drink is a great truth telling drug) that my minion is leaving early on Tuesdays to go see a shrink. Great, another crazy lady in my life! This will be interesting.

    Morning girls,

Easy day today, go see our biggest (and most problematic) customer for a couple of hours, shame its a 2hr drive. Be plenty of free costas though.
Then need to get the bike tweaked, keeps dropping a gear on the cassette but only when under power, tried to sort but have to resort to letting lbs have a look.

You are not the only one with crazy minions. I have two crazies. One has OCD - this is a bad thing - and one has a cake making compulsion - this is a good thing.

Anyway TFI Friday. Day has started badly as I forgot to taken bacons out of the freezer last night so it was porridge for breakfast. It is pouring down too so this afternoon's planned Grizedale run could be washed out.

Tea and minion offerings then off into town for a new phone.

    Later......
  • Morning homos.

Back to work today, was a good day out cleaning beaches yesterday followed by an even better evening on the town complete with the 2 greatest words you can hear. "Free Bar"

Lost far too much money in the casino in the early hours though and I'm now officially going to be ruined for the end2end on sunday.

Meh, on to forecasting and bacons.

    Laters douches.

Sometimes claiming benefits can pay off, and it did yesterday. So happy days and plenty bacons today.

    Morning Pervs,

Just finishing a bit of consulting work then I'm unemployed again for a bit so will have to go hunting again. Have to stay in anyway as the alarm bloke is coming round to sort it out, so a bit of idle interweb surfing while supping coffee seems like a good idea :) . Then bike ride this afternoon as I'm feeling a bit lardy.

Back in the office today after being out on site all day yesterday in Bristol.

Nothing much on the radar today except for picking the youngest one up from school later.

    All pretty boring really.

    morning Scuttlers

Just shows,b1tches want to be on me, blokes want to be me....fact.

Today is another workday, I left my greeting until now in the hope something interesting would happen but other than finding out two people I started at arriva with are having an affair together very little of interest to report I'm afraid.

Tomorrow I'm going straight from work to London to see some bosted Olympic action on Sunday

Today i saw a chromed Aston Martin V8 on the way in, which was nice.

Great ride last night, but feeling it today, very tired.

Got Soot to do today but nothing too stressful, then looking forward to a non rain ruined weekend.

I have the 320D saloon - everything in a car you could hope for, except it's a saloon, and the bike nor dogs fit in the back, hence I'm also looking at the estate.

However, beware, apparantly the 3 series estate is not the best when it comes to the amount of room in the back. A sloping roof together with a raised floor and intruding wheel arches apparantly make getting things in the back "interesting" (and not in a sexual way ;) )

5 series by all accounts is much better (but farking expensive)

There was a thread about this going on over in the Hub - and the Skoda Octavia seems a good alternative.

I'd like a go on her (I'm presuming she's of age, otherwise I retract that sentiment)

    But it's French.

I went through this when I was looking for a new car a couple of years ago, ended up with a very boring Focus Estate - not the biggest boot really, but it's flat load, no bulkheads, seats fold flat, and quite economical.
I liked it so much I replaced it with an identical but newer one when it got written off last month.
  • Aye, she's older than I am, but she's been lying about her age for so long that I genuinely have no idea how old she actually is.

I used to have a very boring Focus estate, now I've got slightly less boring golf estate, smaller boot and the seats don't go flat but it dies the job.

Only as I want to enjoy myself, not tire myself out trying to catch it. See chubby birds can throw their weight around but they've only got to waddle 6 steps and their to knackered to do so. I'm like a sexual wolf, I might not be as big as some of the things I come across, but with a bit of cunning I can easily take down a moose

    In pain.

I got what I deserved for the lycra earlier. A bloke asked me and my mate to model for some photos he needed for some page advertising bikes at Llandegla, which we foolishly agreed to... so now I may well end up with photos of me in said lycra on the interwebs  To top that off had a bloody stupid crash when I wasn't paying attention to what was going on. Now sporting an entirely grazed left side of the body and a swollen thumb. On the plus side it's given me an excuse to goodbye to my rear rim finally, not trying to rescue it this time, there comes a point when it's time to say "nope, that is fucked".

That is something you should never admit too. Dread to think what you were both doing. Least you'll get your wheel sorted :)
