Thought I'd finally sign up and make an account after reading tons of posts on here over the past few weeks. So hi!
Been wanting to get into moutian biking for a while now and took the plunge a few weeks ago and brought myself a Rockrider 5.3, good starter bike? (pic below)
Been on a few rides and am really enjoying it!
I have Replaced the pedals with superstar nanos, that's all the upgrades I have done up to now. Think the next will probably be new better tyres. Any suggestions?

Welcome nothing wrong with the bike as long as you're enjoying it!
Tyre upgrades will usually save a fair bit of weight but only change them at this stage if you've found a problem! It depends on where and what you ride really.0 -
Only riding on concrete and light dirt trails for now so probably don't need to replace them just yet.

For the usage you say, the tyres will be fine, but before venturing over wet rocks, roots or through mud you will want something that grips......
Very good first choice.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
