The other half worries about me when I'm out, whether I be riding home back from hers (around 45 miles) or training. Is there any app I can bung on my Android that would let her see where I am? I use Strava but can't see an option - maybe there's a way to 'Tweet' my location at regular 15m intervals with a map? I do normally text her but tend to forget when I'm in the 'zone' so to speak.

    A) How the heck did we survive before smart phones?

    and

    B) I use endomondo and set the wife up with an account. If she wants to see where I am she can log in and follow my blue dot. But she's never actually logged in to check.

None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.

Endomondo yes. If you want you can export from Endomondo and upload to Strava.

Life 360 is another alternative. My wife uses it often to track whether I've moved or not.
I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.

Wow. Are you sure you want to encourage someone who wants to track your movements?

find friends you can switch off when you are cavorting with other women, so only on when you are riding

    Cheers for the replies.

I ride back from Crewe to Bolton every other week and she's nervous due to some of the roads I traverse. I've tried to get it as safe as I can, but there's still a couple of insanely dangerous A roads I need to use. So long as she can just check occasionally on my way back she'll stop worrying - unless the GPS fails and I haven't moved for an hour...

Don't do this without considering what the 'next actions' should be. What to do if you've not moved for half an hour, an hour, two hours.... Jump in the car and drive there? Call the Police? Are you certain the technology is *really* working and what it's telling you is true? Could she be prepared for turning up and finding the worst? You've been hiding that pink ONCE jersey all these years!?

If the roads are genuinely 'insanely dangerous' get the train or something.
