I am looking for someone who can help me. I have been road biking for a while now and would like to experience the world of track biking as people said I should give it ago as the say I am very strong over shorter distances and no over like 50 miles +. I live in Devon and I have looked that the closet veledrome to me is borne, outh but Newport isn't that much further but it is a lot better. As it is like 2.5 hors drive away I was looking to go and stay in Newport for a week to do what ever levels and qualifications and then If I like it I can get a bike and the club I may join do monthly trips there.
Any suggestion are ideas would be appreciated
Thanks Matt

Never been to Newport, so can't comment, but Bournemouth is awesome!
However, it's openair so only good in dry weather.
There are beginner accreditation sessions on Thursday evenings - about to move to Saturday afternoons. You can hire a bike, and the sessions are pretty cheap. Get on the Bournemouth Cycling Centre facebook page for the latest info on sessions.0 -
If you stay a week you can book in advance and get travel lodge £19 a night in city centre, nice resteraunt next door!!
You would be able to ride the drop in sessions and they can assess you to see if you can do some of the evening sessions but probably not the tuesday derny, or thursday sqt.0
