We went a few years and I can't remember there being any hidden costs.
Book early if you can because the best resorts tend to go quickly.
We ended up going to Devon at the end of March and it p*****d down the entire weekend.

Been on a few (mother-in-law collects tokens). You usually have to pay for bedding, entertainment passes and elec. the last one we went on cost less than £100 for me, wife and 2 kids all in.0

We ended up at Pontins Prestatyn...it cost £38 and I very nearly asked for my money back It was like an Eastern-Bloc prison :? When we looked into upgrading Pontins wanted £70 for a slighly less sh!t "cell".We declined and grin&beared it
I think it's been done up recently though.
Went to Rhyl....won't go again0 -
I might not be going now anyway as I posted it all off on Friday and one of the girls who works for me found the cheque that was supposed to go with it on the floor of the office earlier. Doh!
Just waiting to hear back from them.0 -

What the hell do you expect for £38?!
Like everything, in the tourism industry you get what you pay for. If you pay £38 for a holiday you'd be a fool not to expect the worst. Holiday parks have bills to pay you know.<hr noshade size="1"><font color="purple"><center><i><b><font size="2"><font face="Times New Roman"> "Boggis and Bunce and Bean. One fat, one short, one lean. Why are the estate agents selling holidays?0 -
That's true... Travel agents maybe?
Could probably buy a house for £12 in Prestatyn though!0 -
no drawbacks as long as you go to one of the camps that has lots to do nearby and you carry a set of earplugs to get to sleep at night. Otherwise it's a 1970's style cabaret hell with candidates for social services protection orders running around.Visit Clacton during the School holidays - it's like a never ending freak show.

FTFY, and its got to be pretty grim in Prestatyn when a man from (near) Blackpool is dissing it0
