I think there are different solutions for rigid and soft lenses. The Optifree Express I use is a recommended one for soft lenses. Check with your optician what type you need and what brands are recommended, then just search for the cheapest online.0

Im getting used to them!
this morning, took me next to no time to get them in. Think it took 3 prods on each eye.
Then i rode in for the first time wearing them, fantastic. Amazing. Stupendous. Got to wear my new oakleys for the first time as well!
However i still went to put my normal glasses on when i sat down at my desk hahaBMC TM01 - FCN 0

kelsen wrote:In my experience, depends on the type of lenses and how well they fit. The wind won't remove them from your eye, but they can get dislodged from dryness/blinking. The ones designed for re-use (silicone hydrogel I think) are better quality and less likely to move about. The disposable ones are more flimsy and might be more likely to get dislodged, though I think in a lot of cases the same monthly disposables type of lenses are prescribed for daily disposables. I'm referring to soft lenses as I've never used hard lenses.
Bottom line is that glasses are definitely recommended if you wear contacts.
This. Been a contacts wearer for about 7 years now (it was this time of year in 2005 I believe). I wear monthly lenses and they're great. I've had a couple of episodes of irritation during that time, but nothing that not wearing them for a week our two can't fix. Keep them clean! I hate cycling in glasses (spectacles, that is), but often wear sunglasses (Boots' finest). I'd wear them all the time if I had some with clear lenses.
I do definitely prefer monthly lenses, though. Daily lenses were what I used to begin with - I switched footer financial reasons - but I find monthlies more comfortable. I've also been on casualty twice with snapped halves of dailies; it's never happened with monthlies.0
