Is it normal to have neck ache when your a beginner? During and after it really hurts!
If it wasn't for that I could ride longer!

  • Correction. Only aches during a ride then goes away soon after a ride.

It's normal. You'll soon get used to it.

My left sholder hasnt got used to it, still kills me while cycling long distances but stops hurting as soon as I finish.
  • Today wasn't too bad. I decided to take the visor off my Bell Sweep and also rode without sunglasses which have a thick top rim. I think this was hindering my forward vision and causing me to arch my neck. Definitely made a difference in that i didn't have to stretch my neck up to far to see further in front. Also bent my arms slightly more so i was more relaxed. didn't completely do away with the pain but it helped. I maybe need to get some dedicated riding shades.
