Require a couple of things and to get Ribble 10% discount I may add a couple of bits for spares.

My Carrera Gryphon has a double chainset, 11/28 cassette. I'm not sure of the chainset teeth. I never use the 28 tooth or indeed 2nd, cassette sprocket so I might drop it down a bit to a 11/25 or 11/21. Would there be a problem with 11/25 or 11/21 with a double?

like that but Sram X5 shifters/Shimano parts

Will I have any problem with this chain?

KMC X9L Silver 9 Spd Chain

Which cassettes are better BBB or Shimano?

no issue changing the cassette if you're not using the large sprocket

you can shorten the chain a bit when you fit it, assuming it's a 9-speed system, the chain will be fine

personally i think hg50 cassettes wear fast, then i swap for a sram one, not tried the bbb ones
my bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny

It would strengthen your legs! It's tempting to swap mine for something similar prior to a trip to Tenerife in October.

Just ditched a 12-25 (9 speed) for an 11-25 and I prefer the new one. The 14t is missing but I don't miss it.

In terms of topping up to get the discount, things like flat cell batteries and jockey wheels come to mind.

KMC chains are solid, so are shimano cassettes, don't know about BBB but I'd stick with what I know given the price.

FYI these cassettes are £13.99 at chain reaction cycles at the moment.
