Bought from Chain reaction when I'm sure it said 10 speed but when returned the description talked about m660 crankset but header was m600. I have seen chanin reaction change a page almost before my eyes before.
I every description online says 10speed.
Want 10 speed.
Any advice re what it actually is or how I can tell?

I think the M660 is 10sp but M600 is 9sp.
From what I can tell -
I think the 9sp SLX is 22.32.44t
I think 10sp SLX is 24.32.42t
As far as I know, the below set are 9sp (assuming thats what you bought). Not sure how to tell the difference, I think the crank model is stamped somewhere (bottom of the crank arm I think).

M660 is 9 spd and
M660-10 is 10 speed."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

And both seem to work fine on either 9 or 10 speed set ups.0

The inside of the chain is the same size for 9 or 10 speed? Is that correct?
I bought a Hone set this morning which is def 9 but the plan was to run it as 10. Shouldn't get any problems..should I?"Why have that extra tooth if you're not using it?" - Brian Lopes
