Anyone taken a look at CrashMap?

You can enter your location and filter by year and casualty user type (so you can see just those where pedal cyclists were involved). You have to register, and buy credits before you can access detailed reports, but basic info is free.

I was rather disturbed at how many apparent accidents involving bikes had occurred on my relatively quiet commute.
Nobody told me we had a communication problem

    Waste of time, one local junction I know of that has had at least 5 injury accidents as listed as having 1!
    Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

    In that case the situation must be much worse than depicted on the map. :shock:

    I think it might be too dangerous for me to ride home this evening. What am I going to do? :?
