in a weeks time ill be cycling from Fife to Worcester...total 400 odd miles in 4 days...
first time doing 100 milers back to back and have written out a wee list of kit i think i may need (there is a support car following us down so i can afford to have bulky items)
heres my list so far....would you guys who have experience check it over and advise on items ive missed that may be needed?
in the car:
evening clothes (jeans, trainers, wash kit etc)
wallet/money/charger
extra riding gear (bibs,tops,overshoes,arm warmers)
track pump
spare tyres
spare wheels
tubes
tool kit
first aid kit
on me: (trying to be as minimalist as possible)
mini pump
tube
bars
gels
phone
fluid on the bike
anyone got any other ideas?
cheers

Bit of cash and a card on you - just in case !!0

On you: Tyre levers and patch kit are a must and you should consider a multi-tool with chain breaker and spare links.English Cycles V3 | Cervelo P5 | Cervelo T4 | Trek Domane Koppenberg0

Just got tubes on me
(there's 5 of us) two each...the support cars with more will never be more that 10-15miles away...0 -
Still need someone in the group with tyre levers at a minimum.English Cycles V3 | Cervelo P5 | Cervelo T4 | Trek Domane Koppenberg0

personally I'd have a CO2 inflator and a couple of cartridges on me rather than a mini pump and then have the track pump in the car.
Most important will be a good selection of clean clothes and options for changing weather. You dont say where you'll be staying, but good hand washing liquid for the bibs and something to make sure you get the bottles well cleaned each evening. You'll also likely get proper bored with the same drink and snacks, even just after 4 days, so have a variety of types. Sod's law says have a couple of spare brake & gear cables with you, and some cutters just in case, and a full set of allen keys etc.Your Past is Not Your Potential...0 -
food, lots of in various different forms. Bananas, jelly babies, malt loaf, sarnies, flapjack. Stuff in a nice selection and eat whatever takes your fancy. Good luck!0

Personally if the support car was only ever 10 mins away I would have a mobile phone, food and that's it. Maybe a gillet at this time of year in case it rains, etc.0

I'd have a spare pair of shoes in the car as well.
if you get caught in a downpour, ..I just hate wet shoes.... it's hoping for a bit to get them dry overnight.
Covers may be ok for winter cold and drizzle but useless for true wet conditions.
Same goes for waterproof socks,, rather have my feet wrapped up in Tesco bags then them nasty things.0 -

What about bike locks? Don't know where you are staying each night but you don't want your bikes being nicked.
Does the support car have a roof rack just in case the bike is really knackered and you need to take it to a LBS.Summer - Canyon Ultimate CF SLX 9.0 Team
Winter - Trek Madone 3.5 2012 with UDi2 upgrade.

Few other guys have locks, so I didn't write that
Car doesn't have a roof rack as far as I know but I'd guess in a total emergency the bike could be put inside...0 -
