Suggestions for a decent set of lights please

Having just joined a local cycling club I have started going out on the weekly chaingang ride. With winter fast approaching I need to get some lights bought (front and rear). Average speed for the ride is around 20mph.
Please can anybody suggest a decent (not too expensive if at all possible??) set of lights or generally point me in the right direction?
Any advice greatly appreciated

If you simply want to be seen then most lights on sale that have a BS kitemark will be OK and cheap, but in my experience fall apart or stop working after a few month. I only use exposure front lights now and they last for years
As a minimum something like an expsoure spark for the front http://www.exposurelights.com/product/0 ... s-mk1-(new)/#.UETeicGPWUk
If you want to see where you're going and be seen in poor visibility then you need something at least 500 lumens for the front, like a diablo http://www.exposurelights.com/product/0 ... o-mk4-(new)/#.UETexsGPWUk
For the rear, things are much cheaper and simpler. something like this will be fine http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/category/ ... t-11-444310 -
Just got these
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/lezyne-super-dr ... ont-light/
And
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/cateye-tl-ld110 ... ear-light/
And both are fantastic. I know a little pricey but they are both very good. The front has 450 Lumens at full brightness and is remarkably bright. The rear has four useful modes, flash, on, random, sequence, the front has four also - Full, medium, low, flash.0 -
