MTB Bike under £300 Advice please

Hi,
can anyone help here, my gf has been riding my bike a lot recently and has decided she wants her own one.
ive got max 300 to spend and ive been looking at the following bikes

Not convinced the fork on the Merida is damped, the one on the RR is.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
