Shoe rubbing

Hi guys,
New member here
Just got a trek 3.5 and everything has been great however with my shoes in the correct position on the pedals I am finding that the toe slightly catches the tire when the wheel is turned and my foot is on the forward part of the stroke, this won't happen whilst riding as I doubt I'll even turn the wheel that far however it seems a bit strange?
Thanks in advance for any help

It's called toe-overlap and is very common. A lot of folks accept it, a lot rail against it. Just google the term, for hours of arguments0

I have bags of toe overlap due to the way my frame is designed (shorter top tube). In 25 years its NEVER been an issue.WyndyMilla Massive Attack | Rourke 953 | Condor Italia 531 Pro | Boardman CX Pro | DT Swiss RR440 Tubeless Wheels

I swapped bikes with a friend recently for a ride, and his bike has severe toe-overlap (Cube Aerial 2009). I tried to turn around on a country lane (my bike can turn around in half the width of the road) and my foot hit the wheel. I was going so slow that I had the scariest moment of my life. I pulled my foot as hard as I could, as I was clipped in. It eventually came out, just before I toppled. Nearly gave me a heart attack!!!
