The rear must be the QR or 10mm thru axle adaptor. Nothing else will fit your frame. I don't find the 10mm thru to make any noticable difference, and you need to buy the axle seperately.
For the front, if you are heavy and ride hard, a 15mm may make a difference - but on an XC fork like the Reba, I'd go for the cheapest option.0 -
How heavy is heavy supersonic?
I'm 15 stone and 6ft, careful now lol its all muscle :-)
Im gonna opt for the superstar stans with fixed axle front and rear.
If only a 10mm will fit ali4390's frame, how come there are other size options? Or is it just dependant on the make of frame?
Not sure about the reba forks tho, seem pretty expensive for what ill be using them for.
But I like the rockshox recon silver, aslong as they'll take a disk and fixed axle, 15mm?
Cheers :-)0 -
All axles are fixed... ;-). You mean through axle.
The Rebas are absolute bargains. Recon Silver do not come after market with through axles.0 -
Hang on answering my own question, rockshox recon silver are 9mm QR disk only so halfway there :-/
Great project without the nagging :-) woohoo!!

I imagine ill end up with the rebas tho and have to settle for one of the cashiers at tescos instead of slinky sue :-)0 -
