I have just bought a new road bike. It's blue and has white handle bars. I am new to road biking and I realise that gloves are an important piece of kit. Does anyone have any recommendations or help on what kind of gloves to buy? I'd like to keep them as clean as possible!

I'm not really sure that the gloves will make that much difference to the bar tape staying white (as long as the colour in them doesn't run!). Good luck keeping the bars white through the winter and let me know your secret if you do!
  • Hah, thanks for the optimism! What do riders usually do then? Rerap then in black?

just clean the tape every now and then, washing up liquid works fine
my bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny
  • Always wear clean gloves, and if u have a puncture, change the tube with nitrile disposable gloves!
