Which bike?

Hi guys ive finally got my money through from a claim (not as much as i hoped but still ok) I have a £1000 to spend but that includes helmet, tools, clothes etc. I will be riding at gisburn. whinlatter,grizedale and lee/cragg quarry i fancy a long travel hardtail can anyone recommend any going anywhere at the price i can afford or would a 2nd hand one be a good idea? Or are there any others bikes that i should be considering.

Here is a list of various bikes im looking at different lenght travels on them but not sure what i really need, on-one inbred, grand canyon al 6, canyon yellowstone 5, radon zr team 6, genesis core 26.3, revolution triad 1, saracen mantra expert, on-one 456 evo any advice is welcome, or do i look at 2nd hand bikes

Personally id go for the Canyon, but the only problem is you cant try before you buy.
