Trying to get something to fit my Cannondale Supersix to prevent against a chain drop. I bought a dog fang in the hope of making it fit but it seems with a 34t ring it's pretty much needed right at the bottom of the tube.

Anyone got one to stay on?

  • CANYON CHAINCATCHER try this i put on my super six just need some washer so miss Front Derailleur Band &25 from canyon
  • I've got one on my winter bike (2010 Allez Sport) which has a 34T inner chainring. Not sure how the geometry of the BB area compares, but mine fits with no problem.

Great if i've got a braze on. I've got a clamp 105 though so that stuffs me.

I think there is a clamp on version of the K-Edge for even sillier money than the braze on version. Then there is the one that Scarthie mentioned which seems to mount to the lower bottle bolt (looks a bit ugly though) and the other thing that might work is the big cable tie solution (ie use the catch of a large cable tie to act as a catcher.

Failing that a new braze on front mech with a clamp adaptor and you can fit any normal catcher.

I got a Dog Fang to fit on my Look 585 but the problem with that was just the bottom bracket lug being partly in the way so I was able to carve away some of the Dog Fang for a tidy fit.

Tried the cable tie and that doesnt work either. The bottom bracket is just too thick to get it level with the chain.

I'll probably buy one of the Speed Park options off eBay. They do a clamp on for about £20.
