Hi,
I've been cycling for a couple of years now and absolutely love it! Have done a few sportives and go out with my husband when possible. I'm at a stage now where I'm progressing well (with distances & increasing average speed etc) but am getting a bit fed up cycling alone! We have 3 children so don't get many opportunities to cycle together and the local clubs are male dominated.
I was wondering if there are any other female cyclists who go out and would like some company? I don't work Fridays either so have that day free to cycle as well as weekend. Am in sefton area of Liverpool if that helps.
Look forward to hearing back from willing supporters.
Thanks
Rachael

Have you looked at local clubs? Good way to meet like minded folk and set up your own rides...Insta: ATEnduranceCoaching

I've just got to this point and last week tried a local club. Pace was a little slower than I am used to but it was a great ride. Mostly older people but some younger - mostly blokes but some women.
It shouldn't really matter what the predominant sex, age range or anything else of the club is - what matters is that they do the sort of rides you like and are fun to ride with. It's OK to cycle with blokes!Faster than a tent.......0 -

My LBS has a Ladies ride group, a bit far for you to travel. Lot of ladies I cycle with are quite a bit faster than me on the hills and a little slower on the flat.0

Have you looked on cyclingbuddy.com? Never used it myself but it seems to have a lot of members0

Have you looked at the CTC website, Girlie? They tend to have a fair proportion of the fairer sex and some, at least, have a women only ride.
It might not be at the speed or distances that you'd wish for, but they're very sociable and would add a bit of variety to your cycling.
You could also have a search for local cycling campaigns: most have a monthly ride at a leisurely pace and, up here in the dark north, also have a good proportion of females.
You could use them to network and arrange rides with folk with similar ability / ambitions.A fanatic is one who can’t change his mind and won’t change the subject - Churchill0 -
My girlfriend's sister lives on Aigberth (sp?) Road, near Sefton Park. She was thinking about getting a bike.
There we go, problem solved.

Rach have a look at Harry Middletons CC, they have a really easy C group ride - I'm sure you'll find some a few willing partners - sundays at 9 outside the shop in ormskirk.
just ask on their forum
middletoncc.21.forumer.com
There are a few girls there who go out midweek.
Dont be put off by the 'male dominated' clubs - the liverpool merc seems to be man heavy but they have a fair few ladies too - just ask on their forum - both clubs are really accommodating. The dissenter is every human being at those moments of his life when he resigns

Often race against a few female riders from this club when they are allocated into the same age cat.
Some clubs are not all male dominated.. honest!0
