Old habits die hard

So this summer hasn't been great and I've fallen back into old habits.

Every year I have the idea that I will start cycling properly, go further and longer than my short 8 mile loop and start the loose tons of weight cycling so many on these forums enjoy. Instead I've barely turned a pedal and am back watching TV and playing video games to fill my days. Old habits die hard as they say.

But what about you guys. Do you have any old habits you just can't seem to get rid of.

Can't get rid of the habit of wasting time on the internet (like now).

I don't use facebook, twitter, post on forums or do anything in particular but I seem to spend endless hours on it just looking at 'stuff' - usually things I think I want to buy but usually talk myself out of.

Smoking and chocolate binges. Although after today's 66 miler I think it's finally time to stop the former.

    Hmmm.

In the spirit of unburdening our souls and invoking the circle of trust I must confess an alarming addiction to Tescos Mini Melton Mowbray Pork Pies.

It started one time I popped into to garage to get petrol and felt a bit peckish. Well they seem to be the crack of the snack food world as I now find myself stopping to fill the tank with a unnessecary frequency.

Even reading the nutritional data (and I use that term in the loosest sense of the word) and discovering that these bite size snacks contain a shocking 600 calories - mostly lard, hasn't dented my appetite

How much pork do they have in them? I don't go into supermarkets as such - the nearest I get to is Co-op mini markets and the number of pork pies they sell at around the 25% pork level is depressing. Lately they've had the odd special with around 50% pork which shows it can be done. I always liked Walkers pork pies but sadly I can rarely find them anymore (used to be easy when I lived in Leicester).

You need to get yourself to a Booths supermarket (northern type Waitrose type place). Their deli has pork pies that would make you weep. It has single handedly reignited my pork pie addiction.

    31% Pork

22g of fat in 'each' pie

    2 pies = 4 bags of crisps.

Sweet Baby Jebus what have I been doing to myself.

Can't see you consuming pies of the pork variety. At a stretch I might imagine you on the game
