After some advice regarding a first bike, have been offered the above at £1000. it felt good to sit on and pedal
In the trainer, but with only a around 300 miles done on a borrowed bike I know very little. It's the 2012 model http://www.giant-bicycles.com/en-gb/bik ... ifications
Is it bang for buck? Or too much without future proofing.

If it feels good and it's reduced then there's no reason not to buy it unless it's cheaper elsewhere, it's a great bike and I doubt you'd be disappointed.
