I don't know if this has been touched on here yet but anyway...

Stop the beer duty escalator
Signed, clearly. This one is nearly at the target 100,000 signatures.

Improve Britain's road surfaces
Signed this one, likely fruitless though.

Cycling Safety
No chance of me signing this, ever.

    re: the third petition...

"If an accident occurs evolving a pedal cyclist "

People who don't know what words mean shouldn't be allowed to make petitions.

ban pedal cycles on above 30 mph carriageways

given the inherant danger of mixing high speed road transport and two wheeled uninsured , unlicenced low protection pedal cycles and the obvious limitations of space on current roads, also not being able to accelerate to + 30 mph, and not being allowed on motorways for these reasons, so why not on all +30 mph carriageways.

    Only three 'signatures' so far...

But, I can accelerate past 30mph. Not for long on the flat admittedly but going downhill, easy.
None of the above should be taken seriously, and certainly not personally.

Why is there no 'this man is clearly a f***wit, take him into protective custody forthwith' button on e-petitions?

Beat me to it. I was looking for the Please Feck Off button. Seriously if they have to have an arbitrary target of whatever, 100000, there should be an option to oppose the premise by voting against it to prevent it hitting the target just by the passage of time.

It's tempting to start one. Getting 100,000 people to agree would be difficult though!
