Worth buying a small bottle of this for a fiver to keep in the garage? Quick spray once every 6 months just to keep things silky smooth?

Are you going to do anything else with your forks in that 6 months? I've used Finish Line's Stanchion Oil (very good but very very very expensive) and Brunox (works fine and relatively cheap), but that's every 2-3 rides. Sticking lube on the stanchions is no substitute for any other maintenance.
