now we are getting towards end of season i am trying to plan my training. i don't intend any more sportives this year now so need to set my targets but how do you maintain that in the off season? i have already decided that if the weather is fine then to make hay while i can and try and go of slightly longer rides plus i may get my running shoes out when required to keep fit if not cycling. i just wondered too what other people are going to do to keep going and set themselves targets?

    I don't intend to stop riding ...

    cold = warmer clothing
    dark = lights & quieter routes
    wet = waterproofs if light rain or turbo if really heavy
    snow/frozen ground = turbo!

    I'll accept my mileage is going to decrease - but I hope to up my effort levels when I do go out.
