Tracking route and cadence

Hi All,
I have Garmin 800; it's great. However, I can't seem to view my route AND cadence on the same screen as a split.
Anybody done this? Can it be done.
I like to have continuous eye on my cadence, but that's not possible when I'm following a route.
Any tips, tricks or suggestions?

Just flick between the screens. You get to know what your cadence feels like and can be close enough by feel to have your route on display. Just flick back every now and again to confirm your cadence is there or thereabouts.I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.0

Menu, Spanner, Bike Settings, Training Pages, Map, Custom, either/both When Navigating / When Not Navigating, 2, click on either of the 2 data fields shown on the map, choose the data you want on the map screen, first one is Cadence.Summer - Canyon Ultimate CF SLX 9.0 Team
