Coventry to Skegness, Need decent Shorts

Hello all, I am doing a charity ride, in aid of air ambulance, to Skegness, about 100 odd miles. I went out yesterday for 45 miles and got really sore at top inside of my legs. First time its happened, did 70 miles recently and was okay, so not sure why I got sore this time, maybe more hills. My question is can anyone recommend a pair of shorts, good value and comfy over a long ride

    Do you use chamois cream? That helps hugely as well.

    I use the DHB shorts from wiggle (Aeron Pro) which are good value and comfy, if that's any help.
