Looks fantastic, except i hate the 105 crank. It just looks cheap IMO. Stick an Ultegra Hollowtech on there ;) Will look miles better.

Looks lovely mate well done , but loose the horrid black disk from behind the cassette !
  • Thanks, yeah that black disc is going. Christ knows why the put that on and not a clear one. I'll change that group set to Ultegra over time, but wanted to put the money into the frame more that the kit, I don't think it looks too bad though :)

I think it's the silver bolts to be honest. Just stick some black ones in make it looks flush ;)

Ive got the 2011 tcr advanced with 105 groupset and my thoughts were the same as yours to regarding upgrading cranks to Ultegra and going for a better frame. Loving mine... you won't regret the bike.
I'm 193cm and 97kg and I have just fitted a 11-28 cassette just to give my legs a bit of an easier time on the way home and also tried some Ksyrium Elites on which didn't feel any better so put the original DT Swiss wheels back which match the bike better.

    That's a great looking bike.

    Road - Dolan Preffisio
    MTB - On-One Inbred

I have no idea what's going on here.

105 is still a great groupo, forget Ultegra, spend your money on riding and tyres.
  • Second that! Was every bit Ultegras equal today...hope it lasts.Went out on it today, and loved it. Not great conditions to test in, 16mph wind literally blowing me into the middle of the road but I still average the same speed as my old bike on a quick 12 mile route that was with no wind! Bike was so smooth and you could feel it pushing forward with every bit of effort, really quick. Can't wait now to see how it compares without the wind and do a proper write up. Still smashed PB for fastest mile, 5 mile and 10 mile :D

4 days of rain forcast now though grrrrr

Great bike. The stock wheels and tyres are pretty good from my experience. Worth given them a run first and seeing how you go.
