Hi this is my first post , and I must say it's a great forum and I've got some great advice up to now .
I've got a strict £400 budget( or the mrs will batter me) which I was looking for just a basic hardtail bike for commuting getting fitter and the occasional off road ride , reading the forum I see the Voodo Bantu gets some great reviews and comes in within my budget but the Commencal premier HD4 is catching my eye at £379.99 , out of the 2 which do you think is the better As I can't find much info on the Commencal.

Thanks in advance.

The Commencal is let down by a stinker of a fork, unless you plan to upgrade it or stick to mild paths, I would avoid this bike.
The Bantu has a much better unit, and good parts elsewhere too.0 -
The Voodoo, better fork, better bits.I don't do smileys.

Excellent I was debating exactly the same two bikes from exactly the same sites might have to pop in to my local Halfords and take a gander, I like ChainReaction however there is nothing like sitting on the bike before you buy, especially as I'm going to try and get it through cycle to work scheme.
Thanks for the advice.0
