Always wanted a Tour frame.....so treated myself to a Canyon, just finished building this up, Canyon Ultimate SLX CF. SRAM Red groupset and Shimano RS80 C24s, comes in at 14.5lb. Frame is awesome, real stealthy look, Mad Max stylie. Headset is super trick.

Fist ride tomorrow, can't wait.

Also swapped the frame out on the winter bike to a new Dolan Preffisio. Built up super easy frame quality is really really impressive for a 200 frameset !! Lowered the bars a little form the pic below

Lucky Man, Nice looking bikes the pair of them.

Is there any reason why you have so much seat post showing and then raise the stem, surely it would be better to get a bigger frame, Slam the stem and have an appropriate level of drop between seat and stem.

    Still both great bikes, enjoy

And presumably have to get a 20mm stem to account for the longer top tube? People are people - proportions may vary.

It basically doesn't use a bung / star nut set up. The headtset has a small grub screw you tighten and twist to tension. Also, I noticed the fork steerer is I think 1 1/4, I wondered why it came supplied with a Ritchey WCS stem.

Doesn't the Canyon have some sort of internal fork bung which requires no Top cap loading and therefore is open at the top?

They are Planet X Ultra CNC. 205g per pair. Remarkably good anchors! I got mine for £89.99 which included Swiss Top pads!
