Pretty much as the title says - has anyone got any experience of this online German bike retailer?

http://www.21cycles.com/cy_en/

They seem to have some great deals on 2012 stock at the moment - seriously considering ordering from them.

Thoughts?

Hmm site looks a bit suspect, but hard to tell because it's all in german.

Not the best website, why .com for a german company when most are .de, domain setup in Dec 2010 by a USA based domain 'robot' company and still US owned.

Too many questions for me, also if you check out German price comparison sites they come out cheapest A LOT, which is a common tactic of scammers, although could be legit as well of course.
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

    Thanks for the replies.

Think you're right - google throws up very little about them other than the fact that 21cycles is one of three sites (with 21run & 21streetwear) that's linked to a retail store in Germany. No recommendations, reviews, trading info etc, so I've decided it's not worth the risk; I'm gonna order a nice new Canyon instead!

Shame though, some great deals on there.
  • lol, talk about paranoia, website looks totally legit. Why does a german site use a .com suffix? same reason any website who ships internationally uses a .com suffix.

The whois information is also quite clear http://whois.domaintools.com/21cycles.com

Domain registered by "L&S Lauf- & Sport Shop GmbH" https://www.facebook.com/laufundsportshop

    Their address is :

    Saarburger Ring 19-21, Mannheim, DE.
    +49 621/4546370
Closed until Monday 11:00 am - 6:00 pm

If you click about us on the 21cycles.com website, you get the same address and even a picture of their store. They even have a corporate website:

    http://www.21sportsgroup.com/

What more do you need? And I assume you'll be paying by credit card?

I'm never used them before personally but would do without any worries.
