PBK are very good as well.
  • Endura FS260 for almost everything, mostly from Chain Reaction.

I do have Specialized arm warmers (Endura don't fit) and DeFeet socks which are brilliant.

I've had really good experiences with Endura, for me it's the ideal balance between being decent kit, but cheap enough if I crash in it it's not the end of the world. If I had the money, Assos is definitely better (I've owned a few bits over the years, it lasts brilliantly). That said, I actually prefer the styling of the Endura kit. Altura is also decent if you're on a budget.
  • team kit, nothing wong with it whatsoever if u like 'peacocking'. its just showing your support, slightly different to 'prize' jerseys by all accounts in the views of most, but i dont have issue with either and i think only 'see you next tuesdays' have an issue with either to be honest. there seem to be a few on here (from looking at prior threads on this subject) but then there are in all walks of life, and the prize jerseys are the ones that come in for most stick. if you like it buy it. i play cricket from time to time in essex logo'd whites (only the shirt), when my clubs logoed ones are dirty, its no different, the occasional banter, but nothing serious.

as for unpopular teams, well personally i wouldnt wear astana, as there is something decidely dodgy imo, and i dont like the colour, and euskatil is a bit political to my mind.

if you are anti doping then steer clear of cofidis, but then if your anti doping, quite a few teams are tainted a bit i think.

Team Kit can look great although having some investment bank logo or Murdoch/Sky on my chest would make me slightly queasy, personally. Only an idiot would make a negative comment about someone elses kit/bike though.

Giordana is good mid range stuff. I have a (2nd hand) Rapha jacket too - undeniably nice.

Find out what you want and do a price comparison on Twenga, Google Shopping etc.

I'm a fan of Torm for jerseys, nice plain stuff for a reasonable price.

The Prendas stuff looks really good, I like the retro shirts they have. Torm is pretty nice too as are the bibs from ShuttVR. I bought a load of stuff in the Rapha sale though recently and I have to say they are the nicest jerseys I have bought. Love my Giordana jacket as well from CR. Always lots of good bargains on ChainReaction, so worth keeping one eye on it whenever you can.

Just got some Sky and Team GB clothing from China (think it has been mentioned on this forum before). Quality seems fine although i've never had anything expensive before. Padded bibs seems fine too, did 45 miles last weekend in them without a problem (new to cycling so a pretty long ride for me). Think they were about £26 for shirt and bib.

I generally use Wiggle or Chainreactions for clothing, occassionally ribblecycles, evans etc too.
The most important thing with buying clothing online is that there's a simple returns policy as you'll probably end up buying something in the wrong size from time to time or just deciding an item is not what you want once you see it in person.

Regarding team kit, wear whatever you like.
I personally wouldn't be inclined to wear team kit as I don't intend to pay to be an advertisement. I don't do rugby/football suporters jerseys, etc. either - it's not just a cycling thing!
I'll judge you if you wear a team jersey - but you don't need to care!

I mostly wear event jerseys (some are poor quality and some are ugly - they go in the bin or get given to anyone who wants them. Some are perfectly good jerseys - those I wear). I also occasionally buy a specific jersey if I want good visibility, a zip pocket, or whatever.

I have lidl & aldi jerseys as the are £5.99 & are decent imo but watch out the sizing have gone haywire the last one a bought was long like a dress had to return it.

Lusso is a good brand, made in the UK but cheap prices:

Also have some team biemme and santini jerseys that were £15 from planet X.

Have a look at dolan they have some cheap team jerseys atm.

My general rule is I don't buy it if its more than £25.

Aslo I prefer to get full zip jerseys are you don't see pros wearing half zip stuff

The current lotto belisol jersey i like:

Picked up some cheap Lotto Belisol gear on Start the other day. TBH I've more kit than I need but a 95 quid (!) team gilet for 18.99, bibs for 19.99 and a jacket with 100 quid off had me.
  • Wiggle, chain reaction, tredz, and i second the above post about lusso, just bought the carbon top and bib very nice.

I live 5 minutes from Primera sports,...sort of shop you could lose 10k in without any trouble whatsoever...usually come out empty handed... its all too rich for my wallet.

My current favourite is my Mavic 125 SE bib and Jersey. They are the most comfy bibs I have. Really good quality kit and I love the black and yellow look.

I buy all of my clothing on line but am heading over to Peleton for an Assos shop today.
