700c x 23 Shrader tubes?

Hi all,
I have a bit of a dilemma. My road bike has 700c x 23 size tyres and the rims take schrader valves.
My problem is, I cannot find (and I have searched for hours and hours online and in LBS's) cannot find, 700c x 23 (or anything below 25) tubes with schrader valves (you can get them in USA but not UK).
So my question is this, can I get away with putting a 700c x25/32 tube inside my 23 tyres?
I would really rather not buy adapters and change over to presta tubes as all my pumps are schrader and I prefer them (even if they are a bit "less classy")
thanks,

really...just buy a presta tube
Presta tubes work on any rim and you'd have to have some weird pump than couldn't be used with a presta tube....Facts are meaningless, you can use facts to prove anything that's remotely true! - Homer0 -

I have a 240v digital automatic car tyre inflator that is a joy to use (schrader only) also my portable manual bycycle pump is believe it or not schrader only in its current state.
Worst case I can get a presta tube, but as you can see, will be much more convenient if I can fit a 700c x 25/32 tube inside my tyres without problem.0 -

Ho does that work? does it go in the rim or on the pump.0

This could be a problem on my bike as the valve hole in the rim is cut into the middle of a peak in the rim, so isnt a flat circle.
Then fiddle about with adapters and such like on the valve itself.
It really would be a a lot simpler if the 700c x 25/32 shrader tube is going to be perfectly fine (this is what I dont know).
Another option I suppose is buying wider tyres. 28's maybe.0 -
Ooooh I think I've actually found one! http://www.discountbicycles.co.uk/biz/p ... um=organic
Ideal I think.0 -
Many presta valve nuts have a step so that you insert the narrower bit in the valve hole, or get a converter0

Oh don't worry about that, I don't race, I just cycle to work to get fit, my bike is heavy as **** anyway. The way I see it, the heavier the bike is the more effort I put in and the fitter I get. (Also saves buying expensive lightweight parts :P )0 -

This should generate a dozen "NOOOO's" but anyway!
I've used, at times, various wrongly sized tubes (in 27inch inner tubes in 700c tyres) and not noticed any problems - I tend to change bikes more often than rucksacks so if I need an inner tube from the bag, it might not be an exact fit (not that I need them often). Inner tubes are stretchy and bendy so I tend not to worry about them. A bigger inner tube is going to just mean that you have a thicker, heavier layer of rubber supporting your tyre. Aside from being an unneccessary extra weight, I can't see any reason why the fatter tubes should be a problem.Faster than a tent.......0 -

Thanks mate, I've ordered one of the MAXXIS ones but very good to know I can grab a 700c x 25/32 from a LBS in an emergency if needed0 -
so to summarise, basically everyone on this thread (and thus the font of all good advice) recommended to buy a presta tube but you bought a shraeder one anyway.Facts are meaningless, you can use facts to prove anything that's remotely true! - Homer0

I would have been happy to take your advice to buy a presta tube if I had too but I found a tube the correct size for my bike in the end.
Please forgive me for buying the correct size and fitment tube for my wheels and tyres. :?0 -
