Brake lever not housed correctly

The lever that pushes the main piston isn't housed properly. The washer/circlip are on the wrong side of the fitting, and this allows the lever to fall completely open (i.e. outside of my fingers grasp). Is there any guidance on remedying this problem?
Yes it's a new bike, yes it's from Germany, yes I have emailed them, no I haven't heard anything from them yet.
Thanks in advance

push it in and fit the C clip. DO NOT RIDE THE BIKE."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."
