I have put a slightly shorter stem on my Cube.

When I tighten down the top cap bolt there is stll a small amount of play in the spacers. They wont rattle but it is possible to turn them. Is this normal?

There was a nice 2/3mm gap between the top of the spacers and the stem but it just wont tighten down to the point where everything is tight.

I went from an Easton to a Deda stem.

sounds like you need to add spacers as the stem has a smaller stack height.

the top cap will be bottoming out.

    Thanks.

Is is possible to buy smaller spacers than 5mm. I don't think it needs much.

    Thanks for the replies.

I have put an extra 5mm spacer in for now and am gooig to turn down one of the 10mm spacers in work tonight. I think taking 3mm off should be about right.
