a thread on which to discuss Last Night's Telly.
I had a very lazy night on the sofa and watched 'Enders (ridiclous), Great British Bake Off (love it) and then 'Midwives'

I was expecting a nice and gentle 'One Born Every Minute' style programme. Oh no - this was seriously dark with some very poorly Mums and babies. Struggled to hold it together to be honest.

Got sucked into a documentary on bbc4 about cattle farming over the past 100 years.

    Enough said.

I dread to think how you were persuaded to watch that...

    Enjoy the milking?

Nah, it was all about beef production.

    So no dairy chat.

I watched a programme on BBC4 about very old species that survived the KT extinction event. I think it was the most amateurish production to come out of the Natural History unit that I've ever seen. Fun to see platypodes though.

    That's a shame. I love a good milking.

Enjoyed a great couple of hours at the Hawes Wensleydale Museum a few weeks ago. Fascinating stuff.

Yeah, and I know why. Scared to cycle up Fleet Moss or Buttertubs; that's why
    Faster than a tent.......
  • Sky Atlantic - "Friday Night Lights" drama about a high school American Football team. Sounds like a really duff format but there's something about it that makes it unmissable. Best no-sporting thing on telly at the moment.

It's not the hills that scare me in Yorkshire, I do a lot of hiking that way. It's the people.
We got bloody burgled in our holiday cottage in Malham! So much for "The friendliest people in the World" (TM).

You are in serious need of a drinking 'problem'.

Would it be really creepy if I said something about wanting to put a bun in their oven?

GBBO makes me very randy. Something about nice attractive women excelling at domestic tasks really gets my blood racing. The missus finds it quite disturbing.

GBBO followed by embarassing bodies on 4+1. Next week it will be GBBO followed by somethign that isn't embarassing bodies. Ugh.
What do you mean you think 64cm is a big frame?

You see 'nice attractive women' I can buy - 'total babes' on the other hand!

I find as I get older they tend to mean the same thing - usually also synonymous with "unattainable"

Watched The Accused - cast and writers said it should have been good but was boring and predictable.

[**wanders off to series link GBBO**]

At least it will distract me from my post-sportive daydreams of attractive female amateur cyclists. For 30 minutes at least.

I caught up with Monday nights Mythbusters and was agog at watching Jamie fire a 60' jet of flame at Adam who was attempting to fight it off with a super-powered fire extinguisher (he did, albeit only bloody just)

That scene was up there with the non dairy creamer fireball for sheer WTF!!!!!!idness

Vexed - how on earth did that make it on to television? And why the hell did I sit through it?

Spaced - I'd forgotten how good this is. As good as Vexed was bad. The imaginary gun fights were works of genius.
