oven mouldable insoles

ok got my new DMT shoes. So, I oven cook the insoles, then stick them in the shoes, anyone done this, any tips for best effect. Doesn't say whether you should ride in them straight away just put them in and put your shoes on.
was also wondering whether to do this without the cleats attached, so that the whole surface of the foot applies across the insole rather than with cleats on and perhaps the most pressure applied then would be at the rear with the cleats forcing your foot downward on a flat surface but then that wouldn't happen if you were riding, pressure would be at the front end only of your foot.
Just thinking out aloud a bit and wondering what may be the best method.

Just make sure you oven cook them at the correct temp and time , my mate has a pair of the rxl bontragers and he cooked his at 200 c and not 200 f and they exploded LOL cost him £25 for new ones , also do them 1 at a timeTrek Madone 5.9 2012

I've been using some oven mouldable insoles for a year or so. I remember that when I got them I warmed them in the oven, then put them in my shoes and did a turbo session soon after. The instructions said that this would mean they would mould to my feet in the optimum cycling position.
It seems to have worked for me, and I've been using them happily since.0 -

Sorry for the hijack, but can you use these in any shoes?0

good question, haven't taken them out of the shoe yet, they look shaped on the top side ie the side that your foot will sit on, guess there flat on the bottom side, also appear a little shaped upwards at the sides, only a fraction.
When I take them out I can take a pic of them.
Can't see why not would be my guess and also is it possible to buy them or any other mouldable ones ? anyone ?Team4Luke supports Cardiac Risk in the Young0
