Hi guys,
I'm making the move from mountain biking to road cycling. And looking for what yous guys think would be the best bike for me to start off with. I will be using it for around 15 miles each day to work and 15 miles back. With the odd night going for a longer run and at weekends clocking up more miles. My budget is around about the £1000 mark.
I have looked at the ribble evo pro compagnol and the forme longcliffe 1.0.
Any advise would be great
Thanks
Jamie

Hi Jamie, try looking in the "Road Buying Advice" forum, there's loads of posts in there on this topic.
Alternatively check this list out http://www.bikeradar.com/gear/category/bikes/road?searchTerm=&searchType=productSearch&productBrand=&sortBy=rating&dateFromYear=2012&_brc=0&productPriceFrom=0&productPriceTo=1000&submit=Search
If its to be used as a commuter bike though you might want to decide what you want from it. Do you want mudguard eyelets? A rack etc...? The plastic clip on mudguards do work well if you get a bike without mudguard eyelets but from my experience on British roads that just get surface dressed as opposed to re-tarmaced they rattle quite a bit which I found slightly annoying.Road - http://www.bikeradar.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=40044&t=12777154&p=16943702#p16943702
