Does anybody know anything about this bike? Is there anything any lighter on the market with disc brakes?

8.2kg is pretty damn light for a disc brake, alu framed hybrid.

On One do a flat barred, disc braked CX bike with a carbon frame (the "Dirty Disco"). That might be a few grammes lighter:

I just bought the 2012 model as it is nearly a kilo lighter than the carbon framed 2013 model and you maybe able to get a deal now the 2013 is out? 2013 here http://www.benhaywardcycles.co.uk/shop/ ... ductId=814

Thanks. I noticed the alu was lighter than the carbon version. Why is that?
What do you think of the bike?

Not sure why it is heavier, it has a different group set this year (SRAM Via GT) and I could not find out to much about tbh.

As to the 2012 model I really like it, very quick and light, I changed the tyres to Schwalbe Durano's as I am not a fan of punctures :) If i had to find fault I guess i am not a fan of the noise the rear cassette makes when you are not peddling, it sounds like a cross between an angry bee and a giant fishing reel! but other than that it's been great so far.
