Chain Guide Problems

Hi all,
I have recently purchased a Superstar Plasma chian guide for my Pitch however when fitting it i am having problems with the clearance of the chain. I need to move the chain ring further away from the chain guide however when using a spacer on the BB i no longer have the right length at the other side to attach my crank arm. I was wondering if anyone could offer any advice. The crank and BB are standard

how have you got it set up?
BB width? how many spacers and where? the device is attached how?"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

I have it attached to the ISCG mount, no spacers on either side of the BB however im not sure of the exact size of the BB.0
