Touring bikes. Forum?

I'm smitten with Mike Carter's (Guardian journalist) "One man and his bike" and fancy a road trip myself.

I see no touring section here per se, so where does a man go to find out more about what I had considered an old man's sport but the 5500 miles ridden 'round the UK by Mike and his humours book is calling me in no uncertain terms?

Thanks

A recent re-organisation of the forum resulted in a decision to hide the touring forum under a large stone for some reason but it does exist!

    Faster than a tent.......
  • Thanks.
Strange as I've never considered a long trip (seeing as I'm in my 40's) and the more I do think it through, the more doing so by bike rather than by m'bike, the more it is taking real form in my mind.
    Marc/ April for 6 months I hope.

    Cheers
  • http://Cyclechat.net seems to have a lot of that kinda thing.

    I hope links are allowed?

It can be a real life changing experience, a long trip like that. Where are you thinking of riding to?
